Since 06/04/2022, when The Divorce, Dissolution and Separation 2020 came into force, a Civil Partnership can be dissolved on a no fault basis. There is no need to attribute blame when a relationship breaks down and this should reduce conflict and stress when a relationship ends.

• Drafting and filing your application for a dissolution or responding to an application you have received.
• Applying for a conditional order once 20 weeks have elapsed from the issuing of the application for a dissolution.
• Applying for a final decree once 6 weeks have elapsed form the conditional order being made.

During the waiting periods, we help you resolve future child and financial arrangements.

Dissolution affects inheritance. It is advisable to make or update a will following a dissolution and we can help you with this.
