What is an accident in public?
Any accident that happens in a place open and accessible to the public, whether indoors or outdoors can be considered a public place accident, also known as public liability accidents. This could involve being injured as a result, for example in an accident in the street, an accident in a shop or your local supermarket, leisure centre or accidents at theme park or restaurants.
To succeed in a public liability claim you must show that the occupiers failed in their duty to take reasonable care and that this caused the injury that was suffered. How long do I have to make a claim?
