Trainee Accounts and IT Assistant sought for our Saffron Walden office
This would be an ideal first job for someone who wishes to start a career in legal accounting.
We would support the successful candidate in studying for and taking formal qualifications in legal accounting and practice management. You will also receive on-the-job training from our experienced Accounts team.
There will also be an element of training and upskilling in legal technology as maintaining the digital case management system is integral to maintaining legal accounts which are compliant with stringent regulations.
Full time role – 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Office-based (Saffron Walden office). There may be requirements for you to work in or travel to our other offices in Haverhill and Sawston.

Wills & Probate Department – Full time – Trainee / Junior Secretary
We are looking for a trainee or junior secretary to join our busy Wills & Probate Department in our Saffron Walden team. This would be an ideal first job in the legal sector for a candidate with prior secretarial experience or a transfer from a different area of legal work.
You will be a team player and able to work in a high pressured environment. This is an opportunity to join a thriving Wills & Probate Department.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel) is essential and digital dictation experience would be preferred. If you have experience of working with a digital case management system this would be advantageous but not essential.
This is a full time position and 100% office based.

Private Client Department – Full-time – Solicitor or FCILEx (minimum 3-5 years PQE)
STEP accreditation would be preferable but not essential.
To join busy Private Client team and based in our Saffron Walden office.
Your work will include the preparation of LPAs and Wills including the provision of IHT advice, dealing with administration of estates and trust work and Deputyship applications as well as being involved with the business development of the department. Secretarial support will be provided.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious lawyer who is dedicated driven hard working and able to deal with a full caseload with minimum supervision. Definite partnership prospects for the right candidate.
