At yesterday’s Partners’ Meeting we celebrated three partners’ birthdays, Rhodri Rees, our Senior Partner, had a special birthday being 60 years old. Then Melanie Pratlett and Frances Walker also have birthdays this week, so we enjoyed a very nice birthday cake to celebrate.
The partners are very pleased to announce that Matt Darmon has done exceedingly well on the Legal Practice Course by achieving a distinction in his Advanced Commercial Litigation module and a high merit pass in Advanced Commercial Property. His final exam is in Employment Law in June for which we wish him luck.
Welcome to Richard Booth who has joined the Conveyancing Team.
Richard qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and has practiced in the local area.
He specialises in residential and commercial property law and is based at our Saffron Walden office.
We are pleased to welcome Whitney Jacque as a new member of our conveyancing team.
Whitney earned her Juris Doctorate and qualified as an attorney in the United States in 2008. Since that time she has enjoyed a diverse career in the legal field, has qualified as an English solicitor, and is now specialising in residential property law. Whitney is based at our Sawston office.
Congratulations are due for Denise Whitehead who took part in the Cambridge half marathon on Sunday 28th February.
Denise successfully covered the 13 miles in a personal best time and we are all very proud of her – she has raised so far the total of just over £600.00 for Cancer Research. She had set a target of £350 and smashed it….
She is now looking to enter again next year!

Tracy Spilsbury Partner At Adams Harrison
Adams Harrison with offices in Saffron Walden, Haverhill and Sawston, are pleased to announce that Tracy Spilsbury, Solicitor, has joined the partnership.
Tracy qualified as a solicitor in 1988 and has worked in Haverhill, Cambridge and Ely specialising in Residential Conveyancing since that time. Tracy joined the practice in 2014, based at the Haverhill office, to complement the busy Residential Department there. Tracy heads the Residential Conveyancing department for the firm, with her extensive experience she brings a friendly yet professional approach to the role. She is also the firm’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

Our Practice Manager Sue Lawton got a surprise on arrival at work – her office had been decorated by the Sawston office staff with banners, balloons and streamers for her birthday, and is pictured with some of the lovely gifts she received.
Tom Harrison Senior Partner At Adams Harrison Retires
Following a gathering on 29th June of friends, family and colleagues Tom Harrison retired as Senior Partner from the Practice of Adams Harrison, however he will retain a presence as a consultant.
We all wish him a long and happy retirement.
Leanne Mayes who recently won the Young Lawyer of the Year earlier this year, has now just received confirmation that she has been accepted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
Accordingly she now has FCILEx after her name.
Congratulations and well done to Leanne.
