Charity Donations Instead of Christmas Cards

The partners of Adams Harrison have decided that in lieu of sending corporate Christmas cards they will be donating the money normally spent to three local charities  – REACH Haverhill; The John Huntingdon’s Charity in Sawston and Café Cornell in Saffron Walden. In addition to supporting local charities this is also incorporating the firm’s commitment to reduce it’s environmental impact. Jennifer Carpenter from Adams Harrison attended Samuel Ward Academy secondary school in Haverhill yesterday and conducted a Magistrates’ court mock trial with students interested in a career in law. Kerrie Cavilla Perkins the assistant headteacher said;

Thank you so much for yesterday and all of the time it took to prepare. It was so professional and memorable for our students – they all felt very lucky to take part and you and Adams Harrison got a special mention in the open eve talk last night!

Haverhill Show 2021

We are delighted to be a sponsor of this year’s Haverhill Show, being held on Sunday 4th July, at the Recreation Ground.

The show is Haverhill’s biggest community event and we are pleased to be able to contribute towards it raising money for local charities and good causes, who do important and valued work in the town.

We will be present at the show, making people and businesses in the local community aware of our services. Come and visit us at our gazebo on the day. We will be pleased to see you and talk with you.

Update To Haverhill Office Reception

We have updated our reception area at our Haverhill office to improve our client’s experience when visiting us. Our new layout enables us to keep clients and staff safe in a Covid 19 secure environment. We remain ready to meet and greet clients who have a pre arranged appointment with their lawyer.

Jenny Carpenter and Sue Lawton from Adams Harrison attended the schools fair at the Haverhill Arts Centre from 4pm to 6pm on 13th November. Parents and students attended from Haverhill based schools, Castle Manor School, Samuel Ward School and Churchill School.

We were pleased to receive feedback from the organiser;

I hope you will all agree that between us we have managed another successful event to support the students within the town.

Adams Harrison At The Haverhill Show 2019

Adams Harrison were once again one of the main  sponsors of  the Haverhill Show held on 7th July.

From their stand Jenny Carpenter, Managing Partner and Sue Lawton, Practice Manager were able to offer advice and information about  Adams Harrison’s service  to those  attending the show.

The local charities that will benefit from the monies raised this year are: Haverhill Stroke Club, Reach Community Projects, Little Wonders Pre-School, Haverhill First Responders, Friends of St Mary’s Church, Haverhill Library, Memories are Golden and Haverhill in Bloom.

Adams Harrison Attends Local Careers Events

Aspire; Samuel Ward Academy

Jenny Carpenter and Sue Lawton  attended the Careers Event held at the Arts Centre in Haverhill from 4pm to 6pm yesterday afternoon.  Jenny and Sue spoke to many students interested in a career in law, also some of those that had no idea but suddenly realised that this could be an option for them.

I wanted to express our gratitude once again for your support yesterday with the Aspire Event. We were thrilled with the turn out from both students and parents and feel the event was a huge success in terms of our aim to inspire the young people of Haverhill and surrounding areas. I’ll no doubt be in contact again soon with regards to the next one!

Anglia Ruskin Law Careers Fair

Also last week Matthew Darmon (Trainee Solicitor) and Sue Lawton attended the Anglia Ruskin Law Careers Fair – again a wonderful turn out of law students and some very interesting questions were asked.  These students are the future for law so it was very gratifying to meet such focused individuals.
