Adams Harrison are pleased to sponsor the Bubblerush event taking place at Walden Park, Audley End Estate, Saffron Walden on Sunday 29th September 2019.
If you would like to participate in this fun event then please go to www.each.org.uk/bubblerush to sign up.
Adams Harrison staff attended a very successful Careers Fair held at Saffron Walden County High School last ‘night and attach the Certificate of Appreciation that was awarded to us.
Sue Lawton was joined by Emma Laidlaw, Jack Stewart and Matt Darmon and they were able to chat to parents and students about a career in the law and how best to achieve their goal.
Over 90 exhibitors took part and it was very well attended.
Many congratulations to Leanne Mayes legal executive at Adams Harrison’s Saffron Walden office in the Wills and Probate team who was shortlisted and has now won the Cambridgeshire and District Law Society Trainee Lawyer of the Year Award .
Well done Leanne!
We would like to say a slightly belated “hello” to the newest member of the Adams Harrison conveyancing team, Richard Tallon
Richard has enjoyed a varied career since his qualification as a solicitor in 1979 but since 2000 has specialised in residential property work.
Clients value his accessibility and appreciate his common-sense approach to the stresses and strains of the house moving process.
Christmas Parties are a great way to let your hair down and celebrate yet another busy year. At Adams Harrison this was most definitely the case. We changed our conventional sit down Christmas meal for an exciting and energy fueled dancing ceilidh. We all chose to dress up for this occasion in tartan.
Staff from the Sawston office won the fancy dress competition – arriving at the party dressed up as the Sawston Lochness Monster.
Happy New Year to you all!
We are delighted to publish the “proposal photograph” for Emma Laidlaw, one of our secretaries at the Saffron Walden office.
This was a complete surprise as can be seen by Emma’s face – they had gone away for the week-end and James surprised her by proposing in the exact spot they had a photo taken when they first went to Paris 8 years ago.
James had asked a passer-by to take the photo and unbeknown to Emma he pulled the ring out of his pocket whilst she was not looking. The lady taking the photo screamed with delight and frightened Emma to death.
Our congratulations and best wishes to Emma Laidlaw and James Farenden.
Adams Harrison all joined together across the three office locations and raised a total of £171.57 with cake sales, raffles, Wear It Pink contributions of £2.00 a time to wear pink, all for the Breast Cancer Awareness Charity.
Adams Harrison Solicitors were pleased to support the Uttlesford Careers Fair for students of four of the local schools at Saffron Walden County High on Wednesday 8th October from 12.30pm to 9pm.
Six of our staff members Jenny Carpenter, Hayley Ford. Sue Lawton, Emma Laidlaw, Leanne Mayes and Lisa Thornhill met with students and their parents and answered questions about Law as a possible career.
After the event we received this “thank you” from Sarah Dignasse the organiser .
Thank you so much to you and your colleagues for helping us with the Uttlesford Careers Fair. We hope you enjoyed meeting the students and their parents.
The role that companies and other organisations can play in helping young people to learn more about the world of work and the career opportunities that exist is a vital one. Schools are very much ‘on their own’ these days in providing information, advice and guidance since the Connexions Careers Service closed and we are very grateful that you have given your time to help young people find a way through the choices that lie ahead of them. I’m sure that the students found talking to you really interesting and helpful.
We hope that as a result of the links made through this event we can encourage you to be further involved with the schools and, in order to keep the momentum going, would like to set up a programme of Careers Lunches in the schools. The idea would be to hold a weekly lunch when an employer would come in to give a short talk to interested students about their organisation and the types of roles within it followed by a Q&A session.
Thank you, once again, for being involved on Wednesday. We hope to make this a regular event every two years and that you will want to join us again in 2016!
